Depends on the quality of the players.

I'd say (from highest percent to lowest) resignation, draw, checkmate, timeout, stalemate.

This is based on no facts whatsoever.

I would guess that timeout comes before checkmate.

This also is based on no facts whatsoever. Only been based on my own games.

You either have not as many stupid opponents as I do or you spend your days waiting for the skull to appear.

I would modify that slightly

Resignation, Agreed draw, checkmate, forced draw, timeout, stalemate.

Draws go from almost non existent amongst woodpushers to highly common amongst quality players.

Of course some lazy lesser mortals agree to quick draws 😉

Resignation - about 70%;
Draw Offer - about 20%;
Checkmate - rarely, maybe 7%;
Timeouts - 2%
Other - 1%.
Stalemate - never

Other includes 50 move rule, draw by repetition, etc.

70 percent by resingnation? i would think more on the array of 45%...but interested in your ratio / analysis.. my work shows a number much closer to under 50%

Bear in mind at 70% I am talking about the resignation of either side. From my own stats I can get the draws accurately. I also know the timeouts fairly accurately and the overwhelming bulk of the rest are resignations. I would suggest that the closer ratings are to each other and the stronger the players the greater the % of draws is and virtually all the rest will be resignations.Stromg players don't get stalemated or checkmated and agree draws if repetition or the 50 move rule is likely.

I have never been timed out and short of a fatal accident never will be.
