Basman had bad results against Keene at all - not only in Grob. It seems to me that Keene was simply uneasy opponent for Basman. Maybe Keen is still thinking that with his win in 1981 (http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1026281) he have been refuted Grob (at least I have understand it reading his comments in chessgames.com), but Rybka showes that it is not so - in that game Basman could get good position.
