Take it, it's a free pawn!

    E.g.
    1. d4 e5
    2. dxe5 Qe7
    3. Nf3 Nc6
    4. Bf4 Qb4+
    5. Bd2 Qxb2
    6. Nc3
    Not 6.Bc3? Bb4 7.Qd2?? Bxc3 8.Qxc3 Qc1 mate
    6. ... Bb4
    7. Rb1
and White is better since Black's queen is misplaced, e.g.
    7. ... Qa3
    8. Rb3 Qa5
    9. a3

It's a shame cause it's an awesome opening if it weren't for that line 😞
    Erm...
    1 Black Bishop + 1 Black Knight + 1 Black Rook (after taking) = 3
1 White Bishop + 0 = 1 (You could also count the pawn, but 3>2...)

I think black has a lead in development...

You didn't follow my line. There is no black rook developed and the bishop will have to be exchanged for the queen which in turn will develop a white knight.

Still, even development, with a rook on the open d-file.

Yep, 7. ... Bxc3 8. Rxb2 Bxb2 9. c3 Ba3 may in fact be black's best line there, imo. I think white might be able in your line to get something in with a knight b5 at some point too, maybe via d4.

Btw, here is a Korchnoi kill v the Englund Gambit:

    Korchnoi,Viktor vs. Koning,E
    1978, simul, ECO A40

    1.d4 e5 2.dxe5 Nc6 3.Nf3 Qe7 4.Nc3 Nxe5 5.Nd5 Nxf3+ 6.gxf3 Qd8 7.Qd4 d6 8.Bg5 Qd7 9.Bh3 Qxh3 10.Nxc7+ Kd7 11.Nxa8 Qg2 12.Qa4+ Ke6 13.Qe8+ Kf5 14.Qe4+ Kxg5 15.f4+ 1-0.

Just to clarify since the Danish has been explained, the dutch is
    1. d4 f5

    and the scotch game is
    1. e4 e5
    2. Nf3 Nc6
    3. d4

Afte rmost people had given up on it as equal for black, Kasparov trotted it out and showed there was lots of play based on whites better mobility and tempo. Then again, I figure Kasparov can make any opening look playable.

Try the Englund Gambit or the Albin Counter Gambit. Englund is 1. d4 e5 and the Albin is 1. d4 d5 2. c4 e5

theres a gambit that goes like this:

    1.d4 c5(if takes)
    2.d4Xc5 e3
    3.b4 Nc6
    4.a3 a5
    5.b4Xa5 Bxc5

i might have done that backwards but what ever...
