Sound predictions. However, I do not believe that any result will suprise me except Anand or Kramnik losing.

not when you get first 12 moves from theory, make other 8 moves and offer/accept a draw

3/4 finished at the moment and you're 0-3

Svidler has an advantage, but the queens are still on the board with not much else, so that may draw. As for the others, Anand and Kramnik won, while Gelfand-Grischuk drew.

Does anybody actually know the way this tournament works? I understood it to be a tournament to find the candidate to play Kramnik, but Kramnik's playing?
Does the winner of the tourney become world champion? If so i thinks it's crazy. There's only one way to play for the world title: A head to head on a challenge basis!

    Indeed.
This whole tournament is kind of a joke, its more of a glorified candidates tourney than anything, except the champion is playing! 😵

Will anyone acknowledge the winner of this event as the world champion should kramnik lose? I certainly wont.

it's the world championship tournament. the current champion is included. how on earth could the winner not be regarded as the world champion?
