A fellow Orient fan!
If you go onto 'Players Tables' then select 'Most Active Player'
you can see who is the most active player and who has made
the most moves this month.
This month (which is three days old) at the moment it's User 447274 who has played over 2000 moves,
an interesting profile.
She is a 22 year gilr who says if she drops another piece in the
opening then she going to go nuts.
Not too bad a player though.
Slack finish. 26.Rd8 Ra8 27.Rxa8 Rxa8 28.Rd1 was the way.

Originally posted by alexstclaireThere was never a claim of a draw possible - it can only be a 50 move rule if there has been no pawn move or capture, and I was sure to make a pawn move every now and then.

I enjoyed posting that one the first time around, I got similar responses then as well, but you guys are just jealous really because I thought of the idea first.

I use to know this but the old grey cells are packing up bit bit every day.
Under today's set of rules.
What is the maximum number of moves that a chess game can last.
It was 5,999 when FIDE increased the 50 move rule to cover certain
endings. (Rook v Knight I think was increased) because computers
found there were wins but it takes longer than 50 moves.
But I'm sure the that rule was scrapped and we are now back at the
50 move rule again. (or are we?).

1218 moves - you are caatching her up.
won 466 lost 779 :'(
Hmmmm.... bet you if you slowed down a tad you would score more
on the wins side.
In this game you played OK then you chucked the win
28.Rd6 was very strong. Then go for Qc3 or Qc4+
34.Rd8++ or 34.Rc5 + wins the Rook which was the cause of your downfall.
