I've posted this before, and I hesitated to post again here, since it's unsound.
black got greedy though, so it looks beautiful.
black has an easy win if he plays Bc3+ instead of Bxa1
still looks good, enjoy.
Edit: I always take pride in notating Ne8 as Ne8!!
it was the move to completely seal the deal in style, as a pseudo sacrafice, which my opponent was wise enough to not accept... same results though... π

I have been angling for a positional sacrafice ever since I studied some of Petrosians beautiful games. π
Edit: I haven't looked at it in depth yet and it looks kinda dangerous for black but he should have at least considered 10...O-O
white played moves 6 and 7 the backwards he should have played Ba3 this has dual purposes keeps the black king in the center and if you had a brain fart and didn't account for the threat of Rd1 he could play that next and get an easy win(you probably already knew this though)

Edit: Beautiful sac by the way.
After another brief look, Rd1 seems to be generally played before Ba3.

also, I had gone over this line a thousand times in-game, and determined that it was sound.
Nxg5 and Rxg5 Qh8+ Kf7 h6! is the onlything I can think of, but I know it was sound when I played it. doesn't really matter, because he didn't accept. Just sayin, I didn't get lucky, with the exception of Bxa1? w/out Bc3+!
Originally posted by tomtom232 yeah yeah but does ...O-O make the win easier or harder? I don't know because I haven't looked at it that deeply.
puts the king right next to the diagonal I control, so it shouldn't be easier...
I'd probably still go with h4 and attack him like that, with Nf3 to follow, my attacking idea probably would have been very similar, and I do not believe that it would have mattered...
