[Event "Challenge"] [Site "http://www.timeforchess.com"] [Date "2012.02.10"] [Round "?"] [White "robbie carrobie"] [Black ""] [Result "0-1"] [WhiteElo "1628"] [BlackElo "2222"] [PlyCount "54"] [EventDate "2012.??.??"] 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 e6 {hmmm, ...e6, at this point i remembered a Fischer game in my mind, against Sherwin i think it was, when he played a Kings Indian set up against this move, normally i would play d4, but i dont know enough about it myself.} 3. d3 Nc6 4. g3 g6 5. Nc3 {this move is not typical of Kings Indian , the knight should belong on d2 to protect the queen, but, as there is no immediate danger of the d file opening it seemed to me that Nc3 was a more active square} Bg7 6. Bf4 {an unusual post for the bishop, i cant think why i didn't play it to e3 which would have seemed more normal, perhaps i had visions of Nb5 and the knight coming into d6.} d6 7. Bg2 Nge7 8. O-O e5 {at this point i know I have a stonewaller on my hands, how banal i was thinking, clearly i must open the position with f4} 9. Bg5 h6 {i was hoping for ...f6 but my opponent was not willing, pity that.} 10. Be3 O-O 11. Qc1 {targeting the h pawn.} Kh7 12. Nd2 { a brilliant move, here i had planned, Nc4 and Nb5 ganging up on the vulnerable d pawn and also preparing the way for f4} Be6 13. f4 {i dont know why i didn't continue with my cunning plan of Nc4 and Nb5} f5 14. Bh3 {mmm, cant really say why i played this move, i think its simply because the bishop is undefended , my opponent replied, Misunderstood your last move. Obviously too artificial without any real threats. I said nothing.} Qd7 15. Nc4 fxe4 {ouch my opponent exploits the inaccuracy of my last move, i will now have weak light squares all around my king} 16. Bxe6 Qxe6 17. Nxe4 {this looks a dubious move but because of the obvious fork, but i didn't think it was possible because of the undefended nature of blacks queen, ...d5 and the knight simply goes to c5 with a tempo on the queen} exf4 {here my opponent stated, You are playing too fast for this time control. Tactics, tactics & tactics.. I had to bite my tongue and refrain from telling them to please be quiet} 18. Bxf4 d5 {the move that i did not think was possible, but obviously my opponent had seen the move 19... Bd4+ way back on move 14 when i played 14.Bh3, uncanny tactical vision. Here they stated, We can try some games in blitz room. This game seems to be decided anyway as I`m not playing so fast to make stupid blunders. I said nothing.} 19. Nxc5 Bd4+ 20. Be3 Rxf1+ 21. Kxf1 Qh3+ 22. Kg1 dxc4 23. Bxd4 Nxd4 24. Qe3 Nef5 25. Qe4 Rf8 26. g4 Nh4 27. Qxb7+ Kh8 {and i had had enough, what did i learn, not to play cc at blitz speed and that one inaccurate move against tactical geniuses and i am walking the plank.} 0-1
