I still vote we take it. how long exactly did chessmaster take on this gambit or is it using book moves. which if it was would of moved within seconds, and if thats the case then we should take the pawn. I think it's going to get ugly if we don't.
How I am doing it is giving chessmaster infinite time, and then forcing a move after 1hr.

Chessmaster took the full 1hr.

Question for those in the know: Approx how much stronger will CM10 play with an hour per move, versus say, 5 minutes? Any ideas?

My vote is Nc3, as this (Nc6) is the most common move in this position with the colors reversed, and no a3. It also scores better, and was played more often than Nf6. According to database, e6 is good too, but I think it's time to develop some pieces. e6 will come later, when chessmaster starts threatening along that diagonal.

thinking about this over my cornflakes. what happens after 6 ... e4 ?
7 de , Qxd1
8 Kxd1 - ugly
7 Nxe4, Nxe4
8 de, Qxd1
9 Kxd1 - still ugly
so 7 Bg5 or 7 Be3 ?
so maybe 6 e4 or 6 Bg5 ?
and Bg5 could come under fire + too early to develope queens bishop (develope both knights before QB)
Be3 is also bad move as it blocks our center pawn which would make us lose more time for castling.
