Happy now?
This place is never going to be the same.
There is a strong possibility it was for persitant forum abuse.
She just would not let the Ironman thing go.
I miss her already.
She will be missed by some, laughed at by others, such is the way of the world.

She is not the nicest of ladies, but she understands more then most when it comes to (correspondence) chess. I think this site does loose a lot with her being gone.
Very sad.

will things finally start getting better for RHP?
Any data you can share on the skeeter engine statement? PM if need be.

She was either banned for cheating or banned for persistent forum abuse. What does that have to do with anyone buying a subscription?

I'll keep bumping up. 🙂
Hi WW.
If the ban was for cheating.
Can you post the game where you think she used an engine.
I could not find one. (it took the Mods 8 years).
Found a few very likely candidates for engines used against her
(they are still here.) No wonder she was so naffed off.
I see Time Bandit has also gone.
To be honest I could not see a 100% box game from him either.
Just a sudden leap up the charts from playing -1700's.
He too could have gone for abuse.
Originally posted by Proper KnobFor one thing I don't think she was banned for engine use. I have no numbers on that, but I would be extremely surprised.

She polarized very well. And many jumped on the train once accusations against her started flying.
After all I only read her posts. There was a lot of wit in them and many felt she stepped on someones toes.
I believe (yes, it is just 'believe', not 'know'...) she got banned for constant forum abuse. I also believe, she preferred to not remain silent when things start to go really wrong (obvious engine users not being banned, e.g.).
I am just a reader of the forums. My oppinion that has formed during what I read is clearly not everyones. Everyone may draw their own conclusions...
Originally posted by tharkeshthe skeeter threads and shortcircuit threads are worth the subscription fee alone, it will be a lesser site without her.

already as well. She knew it was coming, she uttered as much in the forums, almost
like a premonition i guess. We should all play an English game in her honour!
