and now they want to offer me a draw because of the mistake.
They don't want to make any more moves and keep offering me the draw.
What is that all about and why should i agree to that???
    Find it very strange.

Ignore the draw offers and just win (if you think you can).

I guess they can only make a draw offer with each move, so just carry on playing, ignoring the offers.
If they're sending you messages, you can put them on your ignore list.

If he's not a subscriber, just forget about the game & leave it until the very last moment before timeout to make your next move.
Message him & say "oh - so sorry, I totally forgot about this fascinating game".
    That should do it.

I might be missing something important here.

Every game I lose I lose because I cocked up.

I didn't realise until now that I should have been claiming a draw.

Where exactly can I find that in the FIDE rules as I can only find rules on things like stalemate, repetition, 50 move rule and such like things.

P.S. I often make a mistake on my first move and play 1.g4. I have got so tired of making that mistake that I'm going to have to try 1. ... g5.

I lose every game to a blunder...mainly because I play at work...

I laugh most of the time...it's an internet chess site....ya know what? sometimes you lose!

I think i've lost the last few games to SILLY SILLY blunders loosing my queen. In fact just a few moves ago I did.

I would never ask anyone to take back a move or anything like that.

The player is active most of the day and hasn't made a move since yesterday morning.
Either he's going to be a pr*k and wait til the last minute to make a move and really draw this out or i just have to sit and wait for the skull to appear, that's if it does.I reckon he's gonna take the first option.

If he wants to draw it out, let him. Beat him at his own game.
