However,like you I was finding it hard enough to maintain 2000, 2100 will be impossible and I expect a few 30+ points rating losses soon.
In fact I have one game at the moment where I am a piece down against a 1500 due to my careless (bad) play losing a piece from a simple oversight.

The secret to getting to 2200 is starting a bunch of 1-day, no timebank games, and then hoping for a 24-hour internet/power outage of your opponent. Best to pick out players from 3rd world countries, like most of Africa or sout-east Asia, say Sri Lanca or Bangladesh.

The post that was quoted here has been removedI have 2 possible skulls against a player rated 1950 who has not moved for 20+ days but still has that damn vacation flag up.
Also another game agsiant EveRyDay but (s)he is only rated 1500 now so that won't be worth anything. In fact when he comes back he will take 30+ rating points off of me unless I can drag it out until he is back above 2100.
I found it more difficult to get the points against players of my rating...I mean it is easier to win more games against weaker player for getting a higher rating, than to defeat players about the same level with me...even though the rating system gives about the same difficulty in any case(even you play weaker, same or stronger opponents) for reaching a specific rating.
Can I join in on this race? I'm 2096 so far.
