I have had enough of the little cry babies who dont resign a lost position out of spite, or to basically say " Im gonna do ya head in, ha ha ha". Why is it that so many players act like little kids when it sinks in they have clearly lost? It gives the great game a bad name that there are so many immature subjects playing this game.
Originally posted by hintjulCould try reverse psychology. Ask them not to resign. Tell them you are having too much fun. And you want to experience the pleasure of the mate. Explain to them in meticulous detail as how you will avoid the stalemate. Discussed the force mate with them and the strategy of the game, and thank them profusely for not resigning.

Of course they could be about to resign, and then don't because they respond to the reverse psychology. I guess this post is kind of stupid. Nevermind.

Asking someone to resign is just plain rude. I thought this was common knowledge here..
What's the point, quick rating points? If you know you're going to win anyway, who cares?
But I never ask them to resign. I just play it out with them. Queen or rook the pawn. Chse their king across the board. Mate.
holy crap!!!!!!!!!
