Based on the first thread (stupid) I didn't think you were capable of sarcasm. I'll take your word for it, but I have my doubts... you seemed pretty keen on standing by your misbegotten views that 3 position repetition was 'cheating'.

I'll upgrade you from 'brain-dead' to 'shows signs of basic human functions'

P-
I will take that as a high compliment since you are a self-proclaimed 'very important man' and you apparently decapitate people you peep at with your laser eyes.

... and *I'm* supposed to be the brain-dead one...

48, 50, 52, 54, 56 or 58. Qg3 wins immediately.
In this case, =S shouldnt have dropped the knight, also easy, move the queen to block, still up in material

You're right. Not because I've risked a banning, but instead because I stooped down to others' level. This is the only thread I've ever posted, and frankly can live without it anyway.

Here's my point with the whole thread: haven't ANY of you EVER had a game/sport with which you loved. but LOATHED one of the rules?? Rules are rules and are part of the game, but there has to be SOME rule, in SOME game, SOME where that you dislike and/or disagree with. For me, that game is chess, and that rule is the repetitive move/position rule.

Now, I KNOW you people are intelligent. Brilliant even. You can't have chess scores like that and not be. Where I overestimated everyone is how hyper-sensitive they would be to what I hoped to be an intelligent discussion/debate.

The first reply to the first (now deleted) thread was 'shut up'... and went down hill from there. So far I've been called a whiner, a hack, a punk (or was it that I was 'punk'd'?), and brain-dead. And probably a million others that I can't recall. Now that's genius, isn't it?

Anyway, that's my $.02. Now, pimpsandwich, if you'd kindly stop bumping this thread and let it die, I think everyone would appreciate it. Whoops, there I go guessing everyone's mentality again...

I am football fan and their are a couple of rules that I think don't make sense in the spirit of the game. It seems most people look at 'drawing' in chess as a necessary evil.

Even though some may not like all the rules chess is still the grandest of games.

I don't like the rule that allows white to move first - I think it is racist.

Therefore, black should move first!

Why do you want the front page of Only Chess to be populated with this bus crash of a thread?
