I quite liked a site called Kasparovchess.com but that ended up closing down. Then I found a sit called chess21.com that was really good, unfortunately that also closed down.
Now I am on red hot pawn, hopefully my bad luck will not follow me here too.

gameknot has its positives and negatives. for the price rhp kills gameknot. same with the gameload and even tournaments. gameknot has conditional moves which i like and a lot of stats but we are getting conditional moves soon so rhp is killing gameknot. also wee have over 200000 players on here gameknot only has 38000 huge difference in playing pools. rhp rules all.
What are "conditional moves"? Thanks.

Lets say I expect you to take a piece, and I know IF you do I'll take it with a pawn. You type that move in, and if things go the way I thought... my pawn capture comes right away and it's your turn again after my pawn captures.
There could be any number of reasons you know the next move your opponant will make... Moving out of check, castle, simple pawn moves... you speculate what they are going to do, and have a move ready for it.
If they don't make that move, the conditional move is not used.

I play on RHP and GameKnot. Things I don't like about GameKnot:
-you can't send "feedback" to the developers.
-my list of games gets sorted by "status" all the time, even though I last had them sorted according to another criterion.
-you automatically get sent back to the same game you just made a move in when a conditional move is triggered.
