back to square 1
There are defenses to h5. Like someone said earlier, comps aren't the best in these types of positions. I still think g6 is best because although white can open up the h-file, black has time to defend against it. I'm gonna plug it into Chessmaster and play a few games, i'll tell you what i come up with.

okay thanks, I appreciate it.

isn't it funny how guys like Weyerstrass play into these positions frequently and still manage to pull out wins...

David Tebb, Korch, English Tal, Fat Lady, Yuga ... one of them usually has something to say that an engine can't. Hopefully they'll take a peek at this thread.

or, they'll glance over the thread list, come to the one by you and say: "bah, it's just that ih8sens guy... he doesn't know what he's talking about. let's go to that far cooler rubberjaw's thread (which I would, but can't, make due to recent warnings for forum spamming). HE'S always got something interesting to say...

and then their mind will flash back to one of the MANY games that have recently made the forums where I look like a genius at your expense.

Or perhaps one of the game mods who believes me to be a cheater (i'm sure there out there) will come into the thread to take a peek 🙂.

you'd think this game would prove I'm not cheating... the computer couldn't find my win!

well then genius, will you move already, I'm sure your computer's already run analysis after b5!! and has your strongest (yet still weak) reply
I don't like Be2 by the way, WAY too passive for this situation.

Well, 15 ... Bd7 looks like it simply loses. Fritz tried to convince me that 15 ... h6 is Ok, but I don't believe it. However, it looks to me like 15 ... Qe8 followed by h6 stops the attack for a while. I'm not sure I'd like black at that point, but at least you don't lose immediately?

ok:
Our Tal, who art in Hell, burning slowly after a revelous lifetime, I talk to you now, to tell you that if at any time in your career, you ever played Be2 in that Poisoned Pawn line of the Najdorf Sicilian, you should have been shot on the spot for ever playing such a horrible move... Did you not know that us in the 21st century would be looking to your moves for guidance? You have misled us with such rubbish!...
I can't talk to you anymore... *sob*

I didn't like 10. ... Nbd7 (which I initially considered) because of e5, what does black do after e5?
