Welcome to White to Move© tactics thread.
Your objective is finding the best move and continuation for white. Post your opinion and discuss.
The initial position is going to be open for about one day unless someone posts the correct continuation. If someone finds the correct continuation they can post their own white to move position within 24 hours or else the last owner of the board can post again (kinda like siege).
When someone finds the solution the original puzzle, the puzzle poster verifies, explains and posts where he got the position from. (The format will be clearer it gets going. When you post a puzzle you don’t have to explain anything just the fen is enough, it’s always white to move and find the best continuation)
The puzzle can be either from the poster's own games, masters' games, internet puzzles etc...The poster MUST know the correct answer and of course it has to be correct.
The answer can only be submitted in modern algebraic chess notation! (No horsey takes the tower and mate answer! It NOT is accepted even correct. This way, we will all learn and talk in algebraic chess notation to improve our chess knowledge.)
You cannot edit your answer like I edited 13 times! You get one shot to submit the answer and one shot only! Original answer is marked as final and edited answers will be ignored and not accepted even correct. Careful and one post per puzzle please.
The puzzle creator does not have to verify and bother to answer every wrong posted solution, he has to answer within a day though if "correct solution with correct notation" is posted.
No outside help is allowed. We are going to improve our own tactical sight and put important positions in our memory by learning together.
If nobody solves in one day, I'll give a first hint. If again not solved in
another day, I give another hint and so on…
I'll start with a very interesting one that my friend kaspi has asked and nobody was able to find in our the Mad Rooks private forum.
Of course white to move and find the best move. Good luck!
p.s. Of course this thread will evolve from your ideas so please do not hesitate to ask question and suggestions for further improvements. Maybe you get 1 point for every correct solution answer you post and verified as correct. You can also get one point for every day if no one gets the answer to the position you asked. You'll get 7 points for example if your puzzle lasts a week in the forums, This is only if people want to get competitive and get silly points.
Please refrain from spamming and chatting in this thread so we all can focus on the boards and the variations. Thank you.
White is about to lose. If he tries to protect his rook with 1.Qe3? then 1. ... Ra8! can follow (e.g. 2.Rf2 Rh1+ 3.Rg1 Ra1+ etc..).
His best try seems to be 1.Rxg8 Kxg8 2.Qb8+ Kg7 3.Rg3+! Qxg3 4.Qg8+ Kxg8 stalemate.
However, I still have no solution for 1.Rxg8 Kxg8 2.Qb8+ Kh7!? because now 3.Rg3 (hoping for 3. ... Qxg3 4.Qg8+ Kxg8 stalemate) is answered by Rh1+ 4.Kf2 Rf1+! for instance 5.Kxf1 Qxg3 and black will win the queen & pawns endgame.
Back to the drawing board, I guess.

I do not even need to explain you have already explained everything. Thank you.
Please free to post your own position within 24 hours. Either hard or easy. Please only accept the first unedited correctly annotated answer and explain if necessary.
Say where you got the problem from if wished or necessary. Verify and like this format if you please.
Directions must be clear from the original post.

Memphisto2's was answer acceptable if not edited. We can be lenient this time. :'(
Originally posted by Mephisto2hehe, I see now your solution and I remember I saw somewhere some advice...when you are close to the solution just try to change the moves order 😉
