I just cannot comprehend how this cannot end with loads of timeouts!
What the highest number of games you've had at once, or have seen an opponent has running?
Yes I seen this player offering loads of open invites and now has 1500 games and losing all on timeout and is seeking more games. This makes no sense

Unless their real goal is to obtain a black star (500,000 moves). It is annoying to wait ages for them to make a move. This seems to happen even when there is only one legal move. However, I'll never say anything, because I agreed to the time rules when I joined the tournaments. I would be in favor of some kind of cap though.

Another theory: This people open so many games on at once, just to increase the counter of RHP moves and have a fancy star near the name.

This is in order to show a red or black star

sure I see - but there's one thing that doesn't fit into this theory: to increase his amount of moves he should make moves!
currently 774 games finished - 646 lost by timeout.......

What about to make a Guinness record?

Ex: More loses by timeout in a chess website.

For sure he/she has that unclaimed record

they may spend only a few seconds per move
although it will not produce the best of chess, it is fun
you should try it
Problem is your playing blitz against a guy who has 2 days to think
I had over 1200 games at once. I developed a way to manage the games without timeouts. It was hectic but I was able to manage. Now, I have less games. As one of the top active players on the site, I like to play blitz. I do play before and after work.

How is your method to manage many games at the same time..... when I had 60 simultaneous games I just crack under the stress.
Basically, I pace myself by staggering the timeouts. To play more games each day, I play 1 day timeouts, then the 3, 7, 14, and 21 days. I do not like to play games with time banks. Games with time banks, the time may creep up on you. Luckily, I use the filters to ensure I do not get timed out.
When I first started on RHP I used to wonder how people coped with more than the 6 non sub games but then I became full member and started playing tournaments I felt I could cope - up to a point. I had just under 100 games on the go at one point and was making too many blunders so I think my limit is around two to three pages of games on the go ergo < 70 is comfortable for me.
Every one of us has a limit, for some the limit is 1 game, or 10, for others the limit is 100 or 300.

for few people the limit is 1000

my own limit is 50, maybe less
