have good reasons to believe it. In fact, you may have really lousy
reasons for believing it.
Science (which is just an anglicized word from Latin meaning 'Knowledge'😉
strives to promote only that which has the best reasons for believing.
Which is why, when hypotheses are disproven, it's nothing personal.
When one of the greatest minds of our time, Stephen Hawking encountered
some evidence which incontrovertibly disproved his hypothesis about
the nature of singularities and black holes (which I only vaguely recall
and barely understood), he was said to have congratulated the people
who disproved him. His quest was for knowledge, not for being right.
That should always be our quest. And simply because two people might
have opposing beliefs doesn't mean they are both equally justified. Only
the most plausible, the most sound explanation ought to be taught as
science.
And, given that you, Eladar, have offered nothing to support what basically
amounts to your opinion (having theoretically done so in the past in
other forums), I'm unclear why you keep coming back and just reiterating
yourself.
You're just a modern-day Pharisee, I guess.

You're just a modern-day Pharisee, I guess.
Next question is how many times are you goint to feel the need to say that you disagree with me and that I have no right to believe as I do?
To tell you the truth, I understood what you were saying the first time. The problem is that I don't care what you think. My only satisfaction in this discussion is the fact that your posts are longer meaning you are wasting more time than me in these back and forths.
Originally posted by EladarHere is what is wrong with your philosophy: The fact that you believe in creationism gives the fanatics one more political unit with which to bash science. If you and your ilk stuck with your beliefs without sticking your ugliness into educational issues, we would not be having this discussion. The fact that you believe in creationism puts you firmly in their camp regardless of how much you deny allegiance to their cause. You would vote for someone like Palin who would destroy RoeV Wade, etc. That would make you my enemy politically speaking. I am not saying what your political agenda is, just showing possibilities. You may vote for a school board in Kansas forcing the education system to 'teach' creationism along side evolution. If you do none of those things you are still on their side morally. Christians are destroyers of civilizations, that is proven. All you have to do is look to South America for that and for that I forever condemn christianity and Islam, both are civilization destroyers.

Where did I say 'you have no right to believe as you do?'

That's a very Spirit-centered attitude. What could be a better expression
of your faith than the spite you articulate in these sentences?
