    Well presumably everything can also be measured in less material terms.
    How many strangers lives would you sacrifice for your loved one?
    How many strangers lives would you sacrifice for a place in heaven?
    How many loved ones lives would you sacrifice for your own?
    etc

    But ultimately money can be used to gain many not so-material benefits and can be used to measure how much material value we put on non-material things.
