Only the mentally ill would believe such nonsense!

Look up "everything" in the dictionary. Perhaps you have a different definition of the word nobody else has seen. It is very important to know the meaning of a word when you use it.
You are aware that first cause God is causeless and the only causeless cause out of all causes.

Attributing causelessness to evolution is dishonest

Cheating science will attribute causlessness to the big bang and evolution because they have no clue.

You are aware that causelessness in inconceivable, but you are not aware that causelessness is not inconceivable to the spiritually aware.

So please leave the theatrics for someone else.

Seriously? It would take very sophisticated programming to be as irrational as Dasa.

Hes just one of those people who believes that if you talk enough nonsense for long enough, people will start to believe it. Rather like Republicans in the US.
Its when you cant tell whether or not they believe it themselves that it becomes really scary. I wonder if anyone has come up with a test for that. I guess the lie detector might do it, but can it be done without physical interaction?

I really don't think so. He seems to just spout the same old drivel in slightly different order interspersed with occasional troll-type insult. I think a ZX Spectrum should be sufficient to run a dasa emulator.

I guess you could be right. I believe that a lot of what he posted in the past was simply copied off the internet, but then one wonders if those sources too were real people.

But as I say, he seems to be just an extreme case of what is a fairly common phenomena - people quite willing to talk absolute nonsense about something they are against. This is remarkably common in these instances:
1. Creationists discussing evolution.
2. Republicans talking about Obama.
3. Some people talking about global warming (people who think there will be a personal cost if they admit global warming is happening).
4. Racists talking about other races.

When challenged, such nonsense pedlars will often respond with diversion ie "OK so that might not be true, but what about this other fact?", or a prove me wrong attitude ie "I don't believe what I am saying, but it could be true, you never know".

What I want to know is what percentage of people eventually believe their nonsense. For example, how many Americans actually, genuinely believe that Obama was born in Kenya?

The real surprise to me is that some of them are clearly quite intelligent too. I suppose they've just never been given the impetus to use that intellect to examine their own assumptions.

Causeless? Did you just make that crap up or what? How the heck would you know anyways?

It is pointless debating with you since you just make crap up as you go along. You obviously want people to accept your so called causeless existence while denying that form of explanation to anybody who doesn't have blind faith in the existence of god.

Nobody wants to play silly games with you. Nothing is causeless. When you can accept that maybe we can debate.

Couldn't it just be that our so-called intelligence is highly overrated? Take a look at belief in the US, 43% of americans believe in creationism and would destroy evolution as a science given the chance. Such a large percentage indicates very effective brainwashing by the religious right, the leaders of such, I can't even find the right word, evil programming, is the best I can come up with.

I sincerely hope we are not being judged by aliens watching all this nonsense, as to say, whether we can join the galactic league or whatever.

Which is not to say I am waiting for aliens to come down and save us or destroy us, just posing that thought.

You may well be right. I wasn't considering it on a large scale though, I was thinking of individuals. I've discussed related issues with people who are clearly able to think coherently and logically and yet swallow their scripture whole and uncritically while blithely waving away any science which calls the same into question. Of course, religion itself is by definition irrational, so I shouldn't be surprised.

Eladar, do you feel that you have the right to speak for all religious people? Or even for all Christians? Because believe me, you don't. And some of us feel that you're insulting our faith by associating it with your arguments.

Exactly nothing is causeless............except for the causeless one.

The causeless one God you will never understand whilst you remain dishonest by embracing false science.

So why are you attributing causelessness to the big bang and evolution by way of spontaneous existence.

It is you who is making it up as you go along.

And I am not interested in debates.

Which begs the question, what are you doing here?! What do you see yourself achieving in this forum?

I am probably the only one who will defend the principles of honesty by revealing the flaws in spontaneous creation presented with big bang and evolution.

Don,t be too concerned I will not stay in the science forum.......just slipping in some honest evaluation of the OP.

Time to go now.

Spontaneous creation=evolution. Where did you get that idea?
