Wow, a new high.

The shocker for me:

With nearly 25 percent of the population in the US taking acetaminophen each week, reduced risk perceptions and increased risk-taking could have important effects on society.

That IS risky for the normally healthy person to take a medictaion each week. IMHO.

@Ponderable
Wouldn't it be weird to find risky behavior like Jan 6 was due to too much tylenol?

That is because they don't like libs here. They like the repub lie that says people would rather suck off the dole and play video games all day and get stoned instead of working. So I talk about that and other right wing BS, and they don't like it one bit.

Interesting article.
Thanks for posting!

I'm so screwed up--it's probably my medication. Here I am, a conservative (NOT Republican and DEFINITELY not Democrat) who is about to break out some really good stuff and have a nice long toke. I've never been one to take much of any legal substances, and never been one to dabble with chemicals, but I do love me some good smoke.

And, instead of making me lazy, I work two jobs, plus take care of a very big yard. I could sit outside at a campfire, share a smoke with somebody who had TOTALLY opposite viewpoints as myself, and enjoy every minute of it.

Weird, huh?

Good GOD, a regular HUMAN here? How refreshing. Am enjoying something very similar as we speak.
At least you are not one of the Zombie Repubs🙂

I will tell you this much, SonHouse:
I have found that you and I get along just fine when we don't talk politics. In fact, I'm probably going to go ahead and make it my New Year's Resolution to STAY OFF THE DEBATES forum, and play more chess.

I dig the science forum. I think we (in real life I mean) could probably sit out somewhere in nature, have a few tokes, and just get along great.

Speaking of tokes....

Speaking of politics, what happened to the former conservatives in the repub party?
Are the all Trump Zombies now?

Conservatives we can work with. Demigods not so much.
Remember when governing was dems, repubs, independents putting out proposed legislation, they fight and yell and finally come to a compromise.
Remember those days?

Now it is just Moscow mitch doing the 'I am the grim reaper' and the ONLY goal there is to stop ANYTHING coming from dems.

Do you think that is the proper way to govern?

Feh. That word has been on the street for decades, and so has the word about bananadine. One year a single aspirin will give you stomach cancer, the next year paracetamol will kill your heart. Meanwhile all of Europe has been using reasonable amounts of analgesics with no problem at all, and the USA has an opiate problem.

I really don't think paracetamol, even under the American brand name Tylenol, is the bad boy here.
