Originally posted by Schumi Northern Ireland flag is the English flag with a red hand, six pointed star (for six counties) and, in no way divisive 🙄, crown in the middle.
So is this different from the flag of Ulster then?

Thats even more interesting.
My google.ie results all returned the crowned flag for my searches for ulster fag, but when I only searched in Irish sites, the ulster flag was the yellow version without the crown.
Is that due to people outside Ireland thinking that Ulster and Northern Ireland were the same and could be used interchangeably?

There you go - I stand corrected, but I've learned something!
why dont use two flags? from the country and the province !
At least www.letsplaychess.com do that !
Then people form different USA states of Canadian provinces ( and Basque, and Catalunian from Spain if they wish, and every country with regional differences ... )
RHP can do it !
Originally posted by sebistrike Yeah sure, it is still a province for the moment, like Wales and Scotland who have their own flags on this site. However, I don't want to debate here about the future of this nation, it's not the place. This is only a suggestion for helping the site in his democratization of the nations represented.
You are not a Nation, you are a Province. If you get a flag all the Provinces and states, etc., will all want their flags too !! Be a Proud Canadian, stand tall next to your maple leaf !!
