Ok, thanks for your comments. They are noted.

Anyone else? I am surprised how little input there has been on this actually...
No input needed from me, Russ. All sounds good.
Nice work!

You've stumped us by building it so quickly. Usually we have at least a few weeks to get overly outraged and think up petty criticisms!

This is what I want about ladders:

(1) That an extencive FAQ will be created about the matter so the Forms will not be overcrowded with questions, same ones again and again.

(2) A particular Forum for ladder matters will be created so there is a logical place where ladder maters can be discussed. When the interest start to diminish, then merge it with "Only Chess" Forum or some other place.

Agreed about the FAQ - essential for launch.

No link published anywhere, but it is now possible to sign up for a ladder.

Enjoy a top ladder spot* just by signing up early 🙂

* Until everyone is placed properly, anyway.

OK, challenger plays white. Like the Sieges, I think a draw should be considered a win for the challenger. I don't think a draw should mean no movement. A draw is not good enough for the higher-rated (positioned) player.

I do like the idea of the indicators showing movements in the table. Was that to be weekly?

the best players should be at the top of the ladder so the challenger shouldn't get the draw. no change after a draw is fairer.

I agree. Draw is no change. Specially if you want only 1 game and the challenger plays white. Skilled players may find playing with white an advantage and might be able to 'force' draws with it.
