I'm afraid if you do that, you're the exception, not the rule. Too many times, i've been attacked, only to have my return post deleted, but not the original attack. If it was the policy to check the string, then this wouldn't happen.....constructive criticism only.

Can we have a site-wide vote on whether people would prefer MORE or LESS moderation in the forums?
No particular plan for how this would be implemented, but at the least it could be fed back to the current mods.
Mods try to keep the forums in a state that Russ decided on, ie. a Family Site with forums that teenagers as young as 13 may use and Safe For Work.
