I joined this site Oct 31 2012.
I have complied with all of it's terms and conditions.
I do not use chess engines and I do not have any other
identity here other than the one I am using.
Anyone I ever spoke to has found me to be polite, courteous and
sporting.
Unlike you I have never been involved in any unpleasantness and
have never ppose us good guys have to take whatever life throws at us.
But we don't have to like it.
Now as for abusive, how about 4 users who have continuously targeted personal attacks and pure hate towards me for months and months.. A few of the worst posts still stand at:

Is exactly how I feel...
Originally posted by johnygAs I intimated in my post to 'longwood', you're all winding each other up to the extent that it goes far beyond the parameters of goading \ taunting, and onward to the extremely personal...some make 'deliberate' attempts to pursue that goal from the outset, because they know full well they're getting a desired reaction...basically, what I'm trying to say is that it's 'A reaction' that some folk get varying degrees of pleasure from, and the moment they realise that they're getting THAT reaction, they'll pursue it all the more...no offence intended to anyone, but it is plainly not doing you any favours by continuing to engage conversation there 🙁

He was not making an example of me. He was complaining about others
but he quoted my post in his opening words.
I took exception to that and said so as I had not said or done anything improper. He said he had no problem with me. So I asked him why he quoted
me so and asked him to retract and apologize.
He did retract but would not apologize on a public forum.
He messaged me later privately and apologized there.
He told me his name was Flash and he had no quarrel with me.
His problem was with others over their behaviour.
I spoke to Kewpie and she told me that Flash was an OK guy and he
was not targeting me specifically.
So with that in mind I messaged him back saying that I accepted his apology, even though he did not offer it to me in the forum.

Challenging the standard of a moderator's behaviour isn't a lot different from arguing with the policeman who's just arrested you. It won't achieve anything and could make you the subject of an additional penalty.
The discussion should centre on the banning itself - the nature of the offence, the degree of severity of the offence, the size of the penalty, an endless moaning in forums which only results in aggravation and more forum bans.
But I'm sure inconsistencies are undermining the forum moderation system. May I point out too that there are clear lines of appealing/ avenues for expressing objection to the behaviour of police ( in Australia anyway) we also know who the arresting police are.Police are generally well behaved as a result. some, in Western NSW may disagree.
