the ghosting seems to be done in the right places ... i would still prefer to be seeing them blood red as casualties 😉 ... a less extreme colour may be pale pink or a light brown (brown is a bit bloodish).

i think players should go green the second they are 100% sure of progressing in their group .... regardless of continuing games.

further. .. the people with the largest numer of points in their group, but not green, should use a very pale green or yellow or blue colour ... not brown ... it just doesnt look right to my semi artistic eye.

p.s. the algorithm we have here is almost, but not quite, optimal. To be optimal a player should turn green when: their total points is larger than or equal to the highest possible points of all players in their group other than themselves ... (consider the situation where our hero has won all games except one still in progress, and yet all the other players have lost 2 games each)

Thanks - input on this is so useful, because the impact of any bugs when this goes live would be very serious.

so you need to give feedback to the "testers"
    1/which players are green.
    2/ which players are ghosted/red.
    3/which groups are decided.
    4/when the tourney is decided.

    Couple more I've spotted Russ

    http://www.redhotpawn.com/tournament/viewv2.php?tid=1097

is showing Group 9 as decided when there is still one game to go which could determine whether 1 or 2 players go through.

And http://www.redhotpawn.com/tournament/viewv2.php?tid=1103 is showing Group 3 as being In Progress when it has been decided (perhaps because the winner has not completed all games yet).

    Cheers

Also group 9 - only one player can win, the others are ghosted out, but the Bar is "in progress", and green, rather than decided. Interestingly group 12 is shown as decided, in a similar situation except that the winner has completed all his games.

    Cheers,

I should have mentioned this, but I moved on to some other things for a little while, so any problems that exist now are just the same problem that werer previously reported.

I will close the thread out, and create a new one when a new (working?) version is available.

Thanks to everyone for your input thus far.
