Maybe it's because there are no Scientologists here to debate with?
There are no Scientologists here because Scientology is not a religion. It is a money-making scheme.

And who are you to say he doesn't??????????????
You are as deluded as the RCC's Pope and the LDS' Prophet. No, correct that. You are as deluded as those who believe the Pope and the Prophet when they say they exclusively talk with God.

Indeed, what he has posted is the usual nonsense, he states and I quote,

we disfellowship people 'at the drop of a hat', which is nothing more than an ignorant lie, in fact, what happens is the person is asked to repent and bring their life back into harmony with scriptural principles, if they do, they are simply forgiven and counsel is given to a ...[text shortened]... are simply content to pander to their vices, after all, once saved always saved is their motto!
What makes your 'disfellowship' any different from the 'shunning' of the Amish or Mennonite communities?

I have read Rons book but i don't think i have ever come across a real Scientologist. I remember hearing on the news that only recently they were givn the right to perform marriages in their own churches. Are their meetings open to the public?
They are registered as a real religion, you can register yourself as a religion even if you worship avocado's.

So they are legal as far as that goes.

I am trying to say I saw the inner workings of scientology early on and saw the vindictive nature of L Ron Hubbard for myself reading his 'Rongrams'.

You all may not consider them a religion but a money making corporation but that is the way a lot of religions are nowadays like the tent revival meetings in the bible belt.

They are registered as a "non-profit" which really strains the limits of credulity. This is how L.Ron got out of paying taxes, just like he publicly bragged he could. Whoever initially approved their "non-profit" status probably should have been fired as a menace to society.

Especially in this day and age, being "legal" doesn't make you any more "moral". Corporations finally got their puppet politicians to proclaim they are "persons" so they cannot be limited in their payoffs to politicians. Of course the politicians passed that one. It doesn't make corporations "persons".

It doesn't seem to stop many of them from getting it wrong, either.

I imagine giving half a crap might be a decent starting point.

Of course they are not moral, they are just plain nuts. It is scary how you can get millions of followers with a nutbag for a leader like L Ron Hubbard.

It is like looking at Hitler on a smaller scale.

I wouldn't exactly characterize L.Ron as being 'nuts'. He knew exactly what he was doing, and he set out with an objective in mind: to get out of paying taxes and to make a ton of money off anyone stupid enough to fall for his storytelling. He was successful on both counts. So, he was not 'nuts', just a conniving bastard. Big difference.

I don't even think he planned on his organization getting as big as it has, or on it becoming like a small version of the mafia. I don't think he really gave a damn what would happen after he passed on and wasn't around to control it anymore.

Thats correct we have killed no one in war whearas you killed each other in you millions, we are no part of the world, you revel in its pagan celebrations, you do not have love amoung yourselves but are plagued by divisions, we are a united brotherhood. You do not preach and teach publicaly and from house to house as the apostles did, whereas its our main focus, you pay a cleargy or a charity to do works on your behalf whereas we are embroiled in humanity. Thanks for reminding me just how different we are I had almost forgotten there for a moment.

How could you forget when you continually refuse to treat your Christian brothers as such.

There's a reason why Jesus commanded us to show love for one another. I can only imagine that you have a reason to refuse to follow this commandment.

They are not my brothers, Jesus said thst his brothers and sisters are the ones doing the will of the father, killing people in war is not the will of the father and either way i will stand before God as judge not before you.
