I'm Jewish and my boss just asked me to work an extra day dressed up as Santa....
what do you guys think?
opinion from Jews would be better.
If you are observant, I think you shouldn't ; I believe it could be considered as Avoda Zara* - one of the three cardinal sins, worse than anything but incest and murder.
If your are not observant, then whatever.
*Could be roughly translated as "Idolatry".
P.S
I'm Jewish (although a secular one).

i'm observant.
(Although I won't use the word "Idolatry" when explaining why you can't, especially if your boss is a religious Christian. I believe it would suffice to say that your religion forbids you from taking part in any sort of a non-Jewish ritual, up to and including playing
the role of/embodying a saints of other religions... )
Maybe you should consult your rabbi.
btw, what is your job?

retail....baby store....i'm the lowly stock boy.
i'm not going to do it.
Besides, the Santa you're dressing up as was made up by Coca Cola. It's not like you're being asked to dress up as Jesus, though he was Jewish too.
I'm not at all religious so maybe I'm not the person to ask, but I say it's kosher!
And there's no such thing as a lowly stock boy... all work is noble.
