    Here God's word :

Matt 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from
thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should
perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

that about sums it up too.

Is this somehow a leftover from ancient Roman culture that accepted pederastry as normal?

    You'd be wrong.

About 2% of priests are molesters - which is the same as that of the general population of married men (1). For the population as a whole, that figure is between 1% and 5% (2).

Roughly 20% of the population have been abused under the age of 18 (3). About 29% of these cases involve relatives (including parents and siblings) (4). Assuming two children per family, this translates to an incidence of abuse within families of 2.9%.

Bottom line - you are no safer at home with your family than you are with your priest.

even Ratzinger finds himself asking Bush for immunity in some case in Texas or Ohio that he tried to have hushed up.

Could you provide a link please?

I don't recall having made a case. I asked a question, that you declined to answer.

    Before you speculate irrationally, <snip>

That's a red herring, sport. Does the question make you that uncomfortable?[/b]

    No you didn't.

Why should we think that Matthew accurately conveyed the words or message of Christ?

There are other sources that say the same thing.

Of course your right wing lunatics decided to raise Paul to the level of God so you can't hear the word.

'tis your problem, stop trying to pass the Error to others.
