(That even kind actions are, on some level, dictated by self interest). And where do we go from there? Is there no genuine love? No genuine faith?
And can we love ourselves? No genuine selfishness?

But altruism doesn't require that we have no self interest involved.

Okay, I'm sympathetic. I like definitions but know about their limits. Everything we ever do involves self interest. Therefore, what now? Giving aid is offensive somehow?

Because you have a problem with altruism. You insist we don't really help others for their sake unless, what, there is no self interest involved?

Should we roll some dice, consult some chart, and say okay today I'll do the particular altruistic thing so indicated, completely free of any self interest?

Asked and answered. Try, like, hold on this is complicated, try to like state wtf you are on about. Whew, that took some processing power.

Asked and answered. When do you stand up?

Stand. As in make a stand. It's an american thing, means to make a determined effort to defend something or to stop something from happening. What are you on about. What are you defending. Your tactic isn't working, so try actually explaining yourself.
