@divegeester said“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." -- Matthew 7:7, NIV
Dogma is the enemy of further enlightenment.
If you feel that your dogma, wether religious or otherwise, informs you fully of your god or your mindset, then you have indeed stopped seeking.
This is promised to us.
Once we have found, should we keep on seeking?

Your scripture quoted in no way excludes nor prohibits ongoing seeking.
Have you stopped seeking then?
@divegeester saidIf I lose my car keys and find them do I have to keep looking for them? If you refer to God, He is eternal in every way possible; the more we know, the more we realize that there is more to Him, making Him the one thing that fulfills us in seeking and finding. Someone who craves money can never have enough no matter how much they get, the same with power. Godliness with contentment is great gain.

@divegeester saidThe greatest temptation of the spiritual seeker is to think he has finally 'arrived.' Anyone who thinks he can relax his spiritual effort, has lost.

@kellyjay saidNon sequitur.

But nice faith speak all the same.

@kellyjay saidYour post reads as though you are attempting to justify your own lack of seeking deeper truth from God, because you think you already have all the truth, and equating the seeking principle to not looking for your keys because you found them.
If I lose my car keys and find them do I have to keep looking for them?
@divegeester saidI somewhat agree. The Apostle Paul would be a good example of this. Paul had great zeal for God; and, he actually thought at one time that he was doing right by prosecuting, and murdering Christians. Thanks be to God for humbling Paul and setting him straight; and, for Paul continuing to seek after God and truthfully following Him and His direction. Same with Moses etc.

Seeking a relationship with God is an ongoing process; this process does not stop just because someone met Jesus (God). A relationship is an ongoing process, it is not much of a relationship after just one meeting or get together; it grows over time.
However, our salvation in promised from the start; IF, we remain In Him; which means, to keep seeking a truthful relationship with Him.
My thoughts anyway.
@kingdavid403 said[John 15:1-8 NKJV] 1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every [branch] that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 "I am the vine, you [are] the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw [them] into the fire, and they are burned. 7 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples."

@divegeester saidI cannot help how you read things; I can only say what I mean; the more you read into what is there or ignore it all you.

@kellyjay saidOk so be clear then, have you stopped seeking?
I cannot help how you read things; I can only say what I mean; the more you read into what is there or ignore it all you.
Your analogy of losing your car keys seems to indicate that is the case. If it isn’t then please can you clarify?
Thanks
