Dogma is the enemy of further enlightenment.
If you feel that your dogma, wether religious or otherwise, informs you fully of your god or your mindset, then you have indeed stopped seeking.
I think such a padlocked minded attitude on strongly held viewpoints can lead to one supposedly "asking" "questions" like this:
When reaching out to those with no Christian faith, what is the proselytising purpose of an invisible, unproven, preconceived place of eternal torture. A place which is allegedly designed for the sole purpose of a god avenging himself on billions of unbelieving people, who would actually believe in him if he showed them Hell was real?
@kellyjay saidSo just to be clear, a talking snake is the same as an airplane, and car keys are the same as your god, because once you've found them you don't have to look for them anymore, and you are content and fulfilled because you don't know everything about your god. Maybe the bits you don't know about your god are in your other trousers.
If I lose my car keys and find them do I have to keep looking for them? If you refer to God, He is eternal in every way possible; the more we know, the more we realize that there is more to Him, making Him the one thing that fulfills us in seeking and finding. Someone who craves money can never have enough no matter how much they get, the same with power. Godliness with contentment is great gain.
@indonesia-phil saidAs I have repeatedly told you, depending on how it all started, what we find as possible will change, including something similar to what we would call supernatural events. Which I might add is inescapable when complicating how it all began since there isn't anything so far presented that is without some supernatural event.
