Living with true knowledge will mean that you will give up materialistic life - and then live in love of God at all time and every moment.
When you live for God your sins are burned up and purified.
Christian teachings do not teach one how to live for God 24/7 - but teach how to go to church on Sundays and how to kill animals at their Sunday church barbecues.
The work we all must do - is to work on our consciousness to purify the mind and senses - and therefore to transform the mind like the Bible says. Romans 12:2
This work is called devotional service - and it is not actually work - but actions of devotion towards God to become pure and to serve God in friendship and love.

The Holy Bible was not changed, only the translation. It was originally
mistranslated as "thou shalt not kill" and when this was discovered it was
corrected to "thou shalt not murder". "Thou shalt not kill" is an impossible
commandment, even for Dasa.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:30-32

It's the instinctive tendency we all have to cling to our own ego and desires, and to protect & promote our own self. It limits our ability to "lose oneself" and truly love God and neighbor. But overcoming this instinct is much like trying to get a camel to go through the eye of a needle.
