I just want to chime in here with a revelation.

The word is "by-law" (with a hyphen), and not "bye law".

    Do carry on.

Do you think that the impermissibility of women going topless in the US is also something you'd oppose?

What about public exposure of sexual organs, female and male? You also oppose bye laws that forbid it?

It can be byelaw, bye-law, by law or by-law.

Such as colour can also be color, and trunk is that of a tree, and elephant, and not of a car/sedan. πŸ˜› πŸ˜€ 😴

The intent in meaning is the same, so sod the word and get on with the discussion.

Assumptions about my character notwithstanding, I was not aware of the British spelling. All I know is that Merriam Webster says there is no such entry as "bye law".

I'd consult a dictionary rather than ask my neighbour. πŸ˜›

    Very funny. πŸ™‚

    Actually, I misspoke.

I meant to say Dictionary.com. Not sure what sources they use.

    By law, bye law, whatever.

Thing is, is this a further erosion of women's rights?

Women have very minimal rights, unfortunately, in most of the world.

Are you one of those women who straddle motorbikes or motorcycles? 😏
