I listen; sometimes it's good for a laugh. Perhaps you'd like to prove your assertion that I was lying about Alexander the Great not being considered the King of Greece in the face of the sites and sources I have given.

The Vatican isn't ruling the world. Daniel said the final empire would be iron mixed with clay, right? Rome was the iron. When it dissipated and the Vatican took up the charge, it went on pause for being a world empire until it rises again in the last days. The 10 toes will be a body with 10 kings or rulers of 10 sections of the world. The EU will likely be the embodiment.
Darfius - I am truly amazed how you can go from the words you read in the Bible to the conclusions you come to and somehow think you aren't interpreting. It's also amazing that you think these words in the Bible are scientifically rigorous predictions.

Since God created science, ATY, I believe it is the most scientifically rigorious conclusion I can come to.

If and when you accept Him, Thousand, your eyes will open to what you've missed all along. Interpret the Bible with the Bible.

I am breathless. The fact that you see this as an 'iron-clad' predicition is only
a testament to the degree to which you are willing to suspend all reason and
rationale to believe what you want.

Nostradamus made better predicitions than an empire of 'iron mixed with clay.'

They were all equally (non-)inspired.

Have you made any sandwiches for homeless people this week, Darfius?

There is more information in the verses, Nemesio.

And no, I haven't made a sandwhich for the homeless this week, what is your point? Are you judging me, Nemesio?

Did you build any houses for the homeless?

Did you visit the sick and imprisoned?

Did you give clothes to the naked?

If you didn't, why are you posting your theological wash here and not doing
these things. I'm sick of hearing your empty claims of being a Christian. I
really am.

'But, Nemesio, I fast twice a week, and I pay tithes on my whole income.'

Good for you, Darfius.

You have no basis on which to claim that you know how I live my life, Nemesio. God has called me to be here, so I am here. Abuse me if you'd like, but I shan't leave.

God called you to attend to the poor. You'd like to ignore that Biblical
mandate, but I won't let you forget it.

Is no1 throwing in his no2 debating trick ? ...... 😀

If he is tired of accusing his opponent of being a liar, he switches to the accusation of "being mentally unstable" ....... 🙄

How are things, No1 ?

Do you find this statement and the asssertion that it is one of the "100%" accurate predictions made by Daniel to be the product of a rational mind, Ivanhoe?

Time to bring back this thread and work on finishing my part in it.

Unfortunately this installment is not very exciting.

Daniel 6 contains no prophecy.

However the next chapter looks to be chock full of prophecies to be explored.

Proof for the theory that if you make your prediction general enough so that it's bound to happen and not specific enough to ever be verified, you will find pliable minds that will perform any sort of gymnastics to find the circumstances that fulfill that prophecy. It's a can't-lose proposition.
Sounds a lot like the Theory of Evolution 😉

Let's see what Cyrus the Great thought about this Median/Persian empire:

The emergence of Iranian civilization

Towards the end of the 7th century BC, the Medians had subdued great parts of Iran, including the entire west. Tribes s ...[text shortened]... layed out centuries beforehand.

He says the power came from God, why should we doubt him?
Is maths your best thing? I think not. (late 6th century bc =500-525 bc, think about it! The 6th century bc was in the past by then)
