The fact that John Calvin was never accused, arrested, or put on trial for murder is good enough to exonerate him to anyone with a reasonable mind.

Yes, Paul had no right to take the life of Stephen. He was however repentant and was shown great mercy by the Christ.

King Manasseh acted worse than the child sacrificing nations which surrounded Israel and yet Jehovah the father of the celestial lights lifted him up from prison and restored him to the kingship of Israel. If he can forgive Manasseh, he can forgive anyone who is repentant.
