The Nazis were not socialists. They were on the other side of the tracks from the socialists.
They certainly were not, like, Utopian socialist leftists as we know them today. But they also were not capitalists.

There is even a particular faction within the Nazi party that were very explicitly anti-Capitalist and actually continued to exist as a very socialist economic movement within them. I believe they were called Strasserists after their faction leader, but I am not positive.

The truth is somewhere in between about the Nazis, sure, but it is not correct to say that they did not dabble in socialism.
