One of the great shames is that some here are confused about living this life with Christ
and the day of judgment at the end, failing to realize if you are not with Chris now you
will not be with Him in the end. Getting saved means that you are saved now, you are
in right standing now, so you can live your life with Christ now, being given God's Spirit
to learn of Him, follow His lead, be taught by Him, basically have Him as your Lord right
here and now. That is the beginning, the day of judgment will reveal what is real and
not. Did you accept what God has done, believe in the One sent, accept His grace and
mercy, walk out your life doing the works of God, or did you ignore God, walk away,
try to establish your own righteousness by being better than the sinner next to you? Was
your life more about you, than anyone else?

And if your beliefs don't translate into good works etc. then you face "damnation"? And this would be despite your belief in him and despite you declaring yourself "saved now" and declaring yourself to be in the "right standing now"?

If you are surrounded by "sinners", is it wrong to try to be better than them?

The shame is that you as a Christian have failed to truthfully preach the doctrine of Christ. Thats the first shame. The next shame is that you constantly preach mouth-worship just like sonship and joseph w, rbhill and suzainne and others of similar doctrine, which leads to damnation. The final and worst shame is that because of that there are many here who quite likely live more righteously than your types because they actually DO SOMETHING rather than DO NOTHING. In the end all will be judged by Christ according to their works.

For a person so averse to people being self-righteous, you don't half come across as self-righteous yourself.

    1 John 3:7-9 (ESV)
Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as
he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been
sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the
works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides
in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God.

    Romans 3:22-24 (ESV)
the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no
distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his
grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

As we see in these two scriptures that all of us have sinned, and "Whoever makes a
practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning." Since
all of us have sinned our default position is with the devil, we need redeemed, thank God
He came for sinners to save us so we can be restored to God as we should be, not to
continue to sin for what would be the point in that, but to walk with God, to be born again
    in Him.

So to be "saved", one has to stop "sinning"?

Play the ball, not the man, Suzianne. The ball in this case is a question I have put to KellyJay about an assertion he has made in this discussion.

And now, even after rebuke, even MORE false witness.

Maybe I'm glad to be on your list now, since you apparently don't understand your error.

Are you "DOING SOMETHING" or are you "DOING NOTHING"?

Why is your only move to beat those who disagree with you over the head repeatedly?

You're not even concerned with a real answer to your question, which is why it would be a total waste of KJ's time to answer you, as well as abandoning his point which you are trying to derail this thread away from. All you care about is attacking Christians.

Stop "playing the man" with the same old, same old tactics you've used here for years.

Yes, I'm asking you. Answer the question, or leave him alone.

Here we go again. You fight your "forum combat", "playing the man", and you think no one else catches on, or can do it back.
