Because humans were created above animals. When God created Adam and Eve, he put them in control over all the animals. That's why it's okay to eat a turkey or something. Pets, however, can go to Heaven because they make us happy. But a wolf running around in a woods somewhere never even coming in contact with a human would not.

Going to heaven or hell is not by being bad or good.

God game man a choice to go to heaven or hell, God doesn't send people to hell they make it their own choice.

Do pets have to choose to go to heaven or hell, or can they go to heaven simply in virtue of making people happy?

If they go simply in virtue of making people happy, might your mother get to go to heaven even though she is not a real Christian in virtue of making you happy?

Frankly, I will be worshiping and praising God for his Glory, so I don't think I would pay any attention to animals at all.

i dont believe anywhere in the bible it says animals do or do not go to heaven and i especially never heard that pets go to heaven cuz they make us happy; that sounds like a fairy tale. where at least the bible is believable by some people
