Allow me to rephrase: Does that mean you won't bother us with your posts anymore?

It means that you don't have to read my posts if you don't want to. 😉

He developed a system of ceremonial magick & studied the correspondences between a bewildering variety of "occult" systems.

(He was born into the Plymouth Brethren.)

You can find some of this texts here: http://www.hermetic.com/

Interestingly enough (well for me at least) he claimed to be the reincarnation of Eliphas Levi, a magician from the 1800s who died on the day Crowley was born. I say interesting for me, because when I was young I was obsessed with the occult as a subject and I had a book by Levi called "Transcendental Magic, its Doctrine and Ritual" reprinted for my own studies. In teh back of it was a subtext note on Crowley, whom I then became interested in. Most people know of Crowley and trace back to Levi, for me it was the other way round.

OK it wasn't that interesting...

So you actually believe in the supernatural?

Sigh... I know it's hard for you to understand, but I shall try and make it clear. Being interested in the concept of the supernatural does not mean you have to believe in its existence. For example, I am interested in the concept of god, which is why I debate it here, but as should be obvious to you, I do not believe in his existence. Clear?

Of course, belief in the supernatural is not required to work magick--although a healthy imagination is a pre-requisite.

Just out of curiosity, do you think that the occult is unreal?

You must first clarify your question. Do you mean:

a) Do I believe that the occult is the supernatural at work?
b) Do I believe that people within the realm of the occult believe in the supernatural?
c) Something else, if so please clarify?
