I am not a Christian. Christianity does not make logical sense to me and I consider myself to be a fairly logical person. If the Christian God exists and sends me to hell for not believing in him then it would definately be unfair because it was he who made me with a logical mind, and never explained all the paradoxes and contradictions in the bible to me ...[text shortened]... ts then he would judge me fairly that he would judge me a better person than most people I know.
One word springs to mind - Pharisee.

EDIT: Another word that springs to mind - crybaby.

I think everyone knows right from wrong regardless of religion or any other factor it reallyis part of human nature to know and everyone knows. This does not mean however they will always take the right action.

Twhitehead is a logical chap. I'm sure he'll have an explanation for this one.

Yes, I'd be interested to see his explanation of natural law as well.

Are you referring to NL? Or twitehead's (as yet unrevealed) explanation of NL?

I meant the Law of the Jungle, as contained in the Jungle Book.

Uhm, are you still alive over there? You should probably start your breathing again or you'll meet your maker sooner than he intended. :

It's been, what? Twenty minutes now? World record for sure.

* Slapping hal in the face - no reaction *

Come on!? You're scaring me here...

* Pounding at the chess. - still no reaction *

May God have mercy on his soul... :'(

*Jumping up - startled and amazed*

He's alive! He's alive! It's a miracle!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ต

*Hal looking at me in disbelief*

What are you talking about? I do this all the time. ๐Ÿ˜•

*Then I realize that this is just one of those random chances where a person survives twenty minutes without air (or he cheated).*

Glad you're alive, Hal. The spirituality forum wouldn't be the same without you. ๐Ÿ™‚

I am an aethiest for many reasons and one is because the christian faith seems very unfair in ways one example is this.

You go to hell if you do not worship god, live by the bible and so on. What I find unfair is that there are people who when born get no choice in the heaven/hell afterlife. Say a child is born in the amazon rainforest to a tribe the ...[text shortened]... ce, there would of been nothing that child/person could of done in there life to stand a chance.
another play on this:
What about our Jewish brothers? They believe in the same God we do. Do they go to hell? But as someone mentioned, faith isn't about the other guy, it's about you and what you choose to believe.
