So what are you afraid of? Is it necessary for our survival or does it impeed us from reaching our potential or a combination thereof?

Here are a few of my favorite quotes regarding fear.

"Fear is the mind killer" (Dune)

"I will face my fear and let is pass through me" (Also Dune, I'm a fan you know)

Here are some Biblical quotes regarding fear

"Perfect love casts out all fear"

"The fear of God is the beginning of all wisdom"

And what is the fear of God?

"The fear of God is to shun evil"

I'm afraid of lightning. It's bright, loud, lethal, and unnervingly random. Usually people ignore the danger of lightning because most people possess something called narcissism, which means they think the lightning will strike only other people. I, on the other hand, suffer from what I call reverse narcissism, which means I'm usually convinced lightning is going to strike me next. 😞

Feel the fear and do it any way-the title of some book.
Also in "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" Dr. Gonzo gets the "fear" and feels he cant continue in a certain situation.(Lol)
There is another quote at the start of that movie/book and its fear related-" He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man."

So does this fear paralyze you? I know that when I let fear grab a hold of me it paralyzes my thoughts and actions. That is why I like the quote, "Fear is the mind killer".
