You seem to think that "We are created in His image", and (["atheistic evolution", whatever this means]) evolution are somehow at odds.

‘Atheistic evolution’ as opposed to ‘theistic evolution’ rejects the idea that God was involved in the creation process and that we are made in His image.

Jesus came to replace religion with himself.
