my friend the gift would be something you would use to help others as your questions are interesting, but yes you can ask but his decision will be the best for you.

So god might give me the gift of oration or perhaps inate justice or something? That sounds really cool, I'd never thought of god as someone who you could strike a deal with. Heck if god gave me some special power, I'd be a superhero in his name!

Are you a born again Christian and believe that Jesus has died on the cross to pay for our sins? Do you believe that God exists and and that He has created all things?

If you believe in this and you become a born again Christian, you will receive birthday cards and presents for christmas 😉
Nicolaas:

I've been over this with RBHILL a number of times.

There is no such thing as 'born again.' It is a mistranslation
of the exchange with Nicodemus in St John's Gospel.

It is 'born from above.' In the Greek, this ties in with the Spirit/wind
concept which forms lovely turns of phrase in the original.

The notion of being 'born again' has no basis in tradition either. It
is a 19th-century convention based on sensationalism.

I think you are right. It is "born from above".
In the NT it is called many things, Christ in you, receiving holy spirit, we are called "sons of God, children of God, a pecular people, etc.
