If I pray to god or my dog, the success rate is about the same. How do theists explain this?
Actually, your dog (or anyone) will never understand you if you are just talking to yourself. If you are compassionate and cultivate a respectful appreciation for their situation then you can communicate with any sentient being (which naturally excludes most posters on this forum.) Woof!

The title of your thread could be interpreted as a reference to Cockney 'back slang', or to the compulsion to write words backwards often associated with schizophrenia.

Are you talking from direct personal experience?

Correct protocol/format sequence of prayer: (1) Acknowledgement of post salvation sin, I John 1:9; (2) Gratitude for His logistical support/undeserved blessing; (3) Petitions/requests for the benefit of others; (4) Petitions/requests for yourself. In His omniscience, omnipotence and grace He decides when to grant the petition or the underlying desire, neither or both.

So if you were God would you be taking orders from the likes of yourself?

From my view, there is no god and praying is a waste of time.

Nice part, Joe, is that you're free to take your view to the bank.

Seems reasonable to me that a person with a high school diploma would at least apply, matriculate and get a few semesters

under his or her belt before expecting to receive an undergraduate degree and/or admission to grad school. Does it to you?

I generally agree with you, but you can study actual verifiable knowledge while you are in school, or you can study religion or astrology..... both interesting subjects, but neither based on truth.

Joe, my point was a simple one. Acquiring knowledge involves a pursuit which is both linear and circular along a finite timeline...

very much in sync with the koine (common language) gnosis and epignosis building block concept, which is gradual. That's all.

You are building a house of cards.

As always, respect your right to a contrary opinion.
