They did not create the concept. They just did it and thereby brought it into reality.
God and His angels existed for milleniums in the heavens without a single sin being committed.
No mistakes were made until Lucifer and Adam erred.
That was the beginning of sin. Until then, it did not exist.
Can something be real if it is not a reality?
