Brother, this was JUNK. Sorry to say.

I could not finish the video after they made the comment about people in heaven with wings. And the kid had little wings ? Junk food.

This was religious JUNK FOOD not worthy of a serious seeker of the truth like yourself. I would not dare pass this sensational hype on to any thinking seeker of God today, much less to the skeptical types that frequent this Forum.

I wonder how many people would pass on your description of RJHinds as a "serious seeker of the truth" to any thinking seeker of God today, much less to the skeptical types that frequent this Forum?

I have never been to heaven so I don't know if everything has wings or just
angels as the Holy bible reports. Do you have any knowledge that I do not
know that proves to you that people in heaven are not given wings?

I regard the poster as a serious seeker of the truth.
You of course are free to hold your own opinion.

However, what you wrote was a bit mean I think.

    Mean? In what way?

    No.

I have no passage plainly stating that people do not have wings in Heaven.

I have no passage stating that God wants people to go to live in Heaven, at least forever.

Maybe not mean. Maybe not necessary.

So you wonder how many people would consider this poster a seeker of truth ...

Okay. No need for me to spend too much time wondering.

My question was very similar to yours - indeed it was phrased using the same words, and addressed the issue of 'seriousness', just like yours did. So, how is my opinion any more or less "necessary" than yours?

I think we had this discuss before RJH, but there is no passage in the Bible which describes angels with wings. Only cherubims and seraphims have wings. Angels are different from cherubims and seraphims. Angels with wings exist only in religious folklore but not in the Bible.

The Jews classify cherubims and seraphims as types of heavenly beings.
Angels really means messengers from God. Archangels are leaders of these
angels. It is common for us to refer to all heavenly beings except God as
angels. So when I say angels I am including cherubims and seraphims.

People have visions they are convinced are real of being abducted by aliens who have sex
with them and/or stick things in them.

Back in the past when people hadn't thought of aliens yet they used the think they got
abducted by witches.... who had sex with them, and so on.

People can and do hallucinate all kinds of things, especially when given drugs and/or are
    in a highly stressed state.

During surgery this kid would have been given all kinds of drugs, plus the chemicals his body
was putting out, or lacking, due to him nearly dying.
Many people hallucinate all kinds of things during such experiences.

Thus, this can't be taken as evidence FOR anything that they see in such situations.

There is no way of determining the validity of such visions.

This kid gets told that when you die you go to a wonderful place with magic angels who have
wings and when he nearly dies he hallucinates just such a place, which I am sure was very comforting.
It just isn't evidence, let alone proof, that such a place exists.

    To Jaywill:

Don't try to defend me with this bitter person. It is best to ignore and not
reply to him for he continually seeks to find controversy and will keep
picking at anything you say. He has no love and forgiveness in his
heart that I can see to those like us. Just read his post and pray for him
to come to his senses. That is my advise.

But hallucinating will not account for the little boys knowleged of what
what was going on while he was in the "near death" state. This could
be lies in a conspiracy or real, but not hallucinations.
