For example, the Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe is serving life for the murder of 13 women. He has been diagnosed as suffering from schizophrenia. In his trial Sutcliffe said God had spoken to him and ordered him to kill prostitutes, it was God's will for him to kill these women.
If he truly thought he was doing God's work then what would his fate be?

Branded in pain
Marked criminally insane
Locked away and kept restrained
Disapprobation, but what have I done
I have yet only just begun to
take your f-cking lives!

Are you saying that Moses and his army slaughtered Jericho and Midian against God's will?
Do we not read in Numbers:
They warred against Midian, as the LORD commanded Moses, and slew every male.
Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him.
Is it not interesting that if you do a search on the term "kill" at http://bibleresources.bible.com, in sorted order from Genesis on, there are 500 results before we even get through Jeremiah.

One interesting point is that the Bible is a completely biased book.
Maybe I should write my autobiography to tell my story.
"Satan's Side"
I can see it now.
