if i had one wish then it would be to make all people forget about religion, the majority of the worlds problems would be gone in one stroke.then maybe my children could walk the streets more relaxed.
maybe i would feel more at ease getting on a plane, train bus etc. visit foreign countries more and make friends with the locals.

i am not some ranting atheist loon, just a hard working parent who sees life as it is. we are on this planet for a short time. we are here to live life to the full. not to be kneeling on a floor rocking back and forth or whipping yourself silly in the name of your god or even to be stan ding in a church burying some child and listening to the priest saying that god works in mysterious ways.

i have been lucky

my wife and kids are healthy
this is my heaven.

Why don't you just wish for the majority of the worlds problems to be gone??

The majority of the world's problems as far as man is concern are all
self inflicted, some is done in the name of religion most out of greed,
selfishness, and hate. Many of the problem solvers are also people of
faith, it is a mixed bag.

Now just you listen here Frosty. You just can't come on here and speak common sense you know. You have to argue over page 6 paragraph6 subparagraph 198, 3 down and 4 across.

:-)

Couldn't agree with you more my friend, just couldn't agree with you more.

Such a good point. And no raving, 5 paragraph shouting matches. I give you a rec sir, for doing better than I usually do. This is the only time I have ever handed out a rec in spirituality I think.

There's no "sanity" just making wishes.

'Please Mr mugger, I wish you wouldn't rob me." See where that will get you, it's the same with the bad philosophy that drives religion, you need to arm yourself and have plenty of ammo....try 'reason' not wishes.

And when were you last mugged?

Did you kill the vicious bandidos with your Glock?

You give me little reason to argue with your freudianly slipped statement.

This is getting way too spiritual for me.

I'll pass on the blood & bonemeal. Take my share, Jammy.

If I had one wish, it is that all people accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and were saved....that would end ALL the worlds problems!...😉
