@suzianne saidIs Jesus the Son of God?
Is Jesus the Son of God?
If not, why listen to him?
As I've posted many a time over the years: Jesus calls all his followers to become sons of God as He was a son of God.
If not, why listen to him?
From what I gather, you believe that Jesus was the literal Son of God.
By your line of reasoning: Why listen to Paul? Why listen to the other writers of the NT? Unless of course you believe that Paul and the other writers of the NT were also literally the Son of God.

@kellyjay saidOh you are correct.
Never denied any of people you brought up, but Jesus is our Savor or not! You don’t lift up Jesus, you simply tell people what they must be doing instead of pointing them to Christ for salvation.
Blessed are those who lift me up for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven (KJChurchNonsense Chap 9:11)
You win.
@thinkofone saidJesus sent the Holy Spirit to teach us, and those who wrote the NT were filled with the Holy Spirit, and some knew Jesus before He ascended and was glorified. The Word of God is the Word of God, not just the red letters. It is bizarre criticizing their words as less than when they were the ones giving Jesus' quotes in the first place. If their words cannot be trusted when sharing what they claim is from God, why trust them when they quote Jesus?
lol. Thanks for once again illustrating my point.
As Jesus said, "Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice". HIS voice. Not the voice of Paul and followers of Paul. Not the voice of other writers of the NT. Not the voice of the OT. Jesus' voice.
Christianity does not have the gospel preached by Jesus as its foundation.
There is more to Jesus than a man who at one time a long time ago walked the earth, if that is all you got your Jesus is dead and buried who knows where. While the Jesus of scripture is sitting at the right hand of God right now.
Matthew 28:19-20 English Standard Version (ESV)
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
John 14:25-27 English Standard Version (ESV)
“These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
@kellyjay saidHow do mouth worshipers teach people to ... observe all that I have commanded you. ..

@kellyjay saidIn your OP, you quoted the following words of Jesus:

"For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice."
HIS voice. Not the voice of Paul and followers of Paul. Not the voice of other writers of the NT. Not the voice of the OT. Jesus' voice.
Since then you've fallen all over yourself in trying to defend listening to the voice of those other than Jesus. It's ludicrous how far you've moved away from the words of Jesus you quoted in your OP.
Even in the two passages you cited here, Jesus is emphasizing the importance of HIS words:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28
"The Holy Spirit...will...bring to your remembrance all that I said to you." John 14
Jesus emphasized the importance of HIS words time and time again:
"the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life." John 6
"He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day." John 12
"“He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me. These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. John 14
"“You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you." John 15
Note that he used the past tense in all of the above. Not words Jesus will speak. Not words that others will speak. But words Jesus has spoken.
You also need to learn what the following words of Jesus mean:
"A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master. It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master." Matthew 10
The gospel in which you believe is not the gospel preached by Jesus. You listen to the voice of others that do not abide in HIS word. They are not true disciples.
@thinkofone saidWhen the Holy Spirit leads someone to say or do something is that always going to be complete agreement with Jesus Christ, and God the Father?

@thinkofone saidYes, so when the Spirit leads the followers of Christ to write words, it is no different than Jesus saying something. The OT prophets spoke when they were led by the Spirit of God, as the writers of the NT text. Your error is that you fail to see that God works through us by His own by His Spirit today no different than when He did then, but now He enters our hearts and not just falls on us. You have a dead Jesus if you think only during the time of Jesus walking the earth is the only time we hear from God. Jesus has been the Word of God forever before the day of creation, during creation, and will be forever after this creation is passed.

@rajk999 saidI agree so you should stop our mouth worship and draw never the Lord confessing your sins that you think you can be good enough by your own efforts and trust in the salvation God gives us freely by His grace.

If they were true disciples - if they had received the Spirit of Truth - their words would exactly echo the gospel preached by Jesus while He walked the Earth. They don't. If you had received the Spirit of Truth, your words would exactly echo the gospel preached by Jesus while He walked the Earth. They don't.
You believe in a different gospel.
@thinkofone saidYou really believe that those who actually walked with Jesus, and many of them who were in the upper room who were filled with God’s Spirit are in error, because they disagree with what you think Jesus said and meant?

Not sure how you can be that deceived that your beliefs are more accurate than what they have written.
Where is the book of thinkofone since your truth is the real truth of your god, instead of the God of the Bible? You need to conform to the truth of scripture not have scripture conform to you!
As Jesus said, "Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice". HIS voice. Not the voice of Paul and followers of Paul. Not the voice of the OT. Jesus' voice.
Christianity does not have the gospel preached by Jesus as its foundation. Instead Christianity has the theology of Paul as its foundation.
Thanks for illustrating this point.
Face it Think-of-One. ALL you want to do is tell everyone to MOVE PAUL OVER and SUBSTITUTE YOU, Think-Of-One, as the reliable authority.
You cry loudly - " The interpreters of Jesus are not to be trusted. "
And then argue - " But ME - Think-Of-One, I'll be your reliable expert on what Jesus taught."
ToO,
All of your effort is to move the apostles over and place yourself in their office. "Not THEM, but ME!"
Ie. "John, Matthew, Peter, Paul, Luke ... THEY don't have the real story. But ME, you see? Think-Of-One is the real faithful expert on what Jesus is REALLY all about."
A couple of us are not buying it.
